Dr. Dharam Mann, Dr. Manjula Singh and nurse practitioner Christina DiPaolo see patients at this office. Your visit includes a history and exam that check strength, reflexes and sensation, and a review of any MRI. Many cases of sciatica improve within weeks with therapy and medicines, and we start there when it's safe.
When pain limits work or sleep, options include epidural steroid injections for sciatica and facet or sacroiliac joint procedures for pain centered in the back. Radiofrequency ablation may help when a facet joint is confirmed as the source. Depending on scheduling and equipment, some image-guided procedures are done at another GSMC office. Our staff will tell you where before you book.
GSMC does not perform spine surgery. If you have progressive weakness or your imaging suggests a surgical opinion is worth having, we will explain why and help with a referral. Results vary from person to person.
