Knee Pain Treatment in West Long Branch, NJ
GSMC West Long Branch Office
Our West Long Branch office at 100 Route 36 sees knee pain from across eastern Monmouth County: Long Branch, Eatontown, Oceanport, Monmouth Beach and Ocean Township. Some patients are active adults whose arthritis is getting in the way of beach walks or tennis. Others still have pain after a knee replacement.
Dr. Dharam Mann and Dr. Manjula Singh see patients here. Your visit includes an exam, a look at how you walk and a review of X-rays or MRI to sort out whether the pain is from arthritis, a tendon, bursitis or a nerve.
Options are non-surgical and depend on the cause: physical therapy and bracing, corticosteroid or hyaluronic acid gel injections, and genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation for long-standing arthritis pain or pain after a knee replacement. For some patients, PRP or genicular artery embolization may be discussed. Some procedures are scheduled at another GSMC office, and our staff will tell you where.
Some treatments, such as PRP, may not be covered by insurance, and we will tell you the cost first. If a surgical opinion makes sense, we will help with a referral. Results vary from person to person.
