What telehealth is used for
- Second opinions when you have been told you may need spine surgery or a procedure
- Imaging reviews to go over your MRI, CT or X-ray results with a physician
Telehealth is not used for new-patient consultations or routine follow-up visits. Those are scheduled as in-office visits.
How to book
Call 732-202-3000. Telehealth visits are booked by phone only. Our staff will confirm that a video visit fits your needs, explain how to send your imaging and reports, and give you instructions for joining.
What you need
- A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera, microphone and internet connection
- A quiet, private place
- Your imaging and reports sent ahead of time, as our staff instructs
- Your medicine list
Limits of a video visit
Some things need an in-person exam. If the physician needs to examine you, order tests or discuss a procedure in detail, we will schedule an office visit. If you have an emergency, such as new weakness or loss of bladder or bowel control, call 911.
