Shahzad Hussain, MD is a Rheumatology/Allergy and Immunology specialist. Dr Hussain is board certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Allergy and Immunology. He has over 31 years of experience in the medical field. His major areas of expertise are rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and osteoporosis.

Dr. Hussain graduated from Dow University of Health Sciences Medical School in 1990 and then pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at UMDNJ. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric and adult rheumatology at University Hospital, Syracuse New York. fellowship in allergy and immunology which provide him with the deeper knowledge and understanding of complex pathophysiology and immunopathogenesis of autoimmune disorders . Dr. Hussain has published multiple peer reviewed articles in the Journal of Rheumatology and the Journal of Allergy and Immunology. He is a fellow of American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Immunology. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as Community Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus.

Dr. Hussain has presented his research papers in scientific meetings of rheumatology, allergy and immunology and has been part of a speaker program to educate primary care doctors on the management of common rheumatologic diseases.
