Sanjay Bakshi, MD

Anesthesiologist & Pain Management Specialist

Dr. Bakshi practices interventional pain management.  “I do minimally invasive procedures to help diagnose and treat neck and back pain,” he explains.  “Most patients do not need surgery.”

It was during his residency in anesthesiology that Dr. Bakshi became interested in pain management.  “I was taken aback by the number of patients I saw who had endured years of suffering, and had gone to different doctors without being able to pinpoint what was causing her pain,” recalls Dr. Bakshi.  “The pain management doctors were immediately able to figure out what the problem was and help the patient.  That was my impetus to specialize in pain management.”  During his anesthesia training, Dr. Bakshi received the Robert D.  Dripps, MD, Memorial Award for Outstanding Resident in Anesthesiology.

He then did his fellowship in Pain Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Medicine, Division of Pain Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, where after graduation he served as Instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.

A word from a few of Dr. Jani’s patients

I tell everyone about my spinal cord stimulator and show them how it works. I let them know how it has changed my life. I went last week to my regular Dr for my 4 month check up and lost 4 pounds! I think it is because of the stimulator and I am moving and doing more! Dr. Mann has changed my life for the better!
